This policy explains what information FaceScan: AI Face Analysis ("the app"), provided by AI Face Studio, uses and how. FaceScan is a face-shape analysis and hairstyle recommendation app that runs entirely in your device's browser.
When you upload a front-facing or side-profile photo to scan, it is processed entirely on your own device, in your browser, using an on-device facial landmark model (MediaPipe Face Mesh). The photo is never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by any server operated by the app. Closing the app, restarting a scan, or navigating away clears it from memory.
If you choose "Sign in with Google," authentication is handled directly by Google's own sign-in system. The app receives only your name, email address, and profile picture, as authorized by you through Google's account chooser, to personalize your session. The app never sees or stores your Google password. This information is kept only in your browser's local storage on your own device and is not transmitted to any server operated by the app. You may also use the app as a Guest without signing in at all.
During first-time setup, the app asks for your gender and date of birth to personalize hairstyle suggestions. This information is stored only in your device's local browser storage, is never sent to a server, and is not linked to your Google account.
If you use the optional facial exercise plan, which days you've marked complete are stored only in your device's local browser storage. This progress is not synced to any account or server, so it will not carry over if you switch devices, reinstall the app, or clear your browser data.
Your selected display language is stored only in your device's local browser storage so the app remembers it next time.
At the paywall, you can choose to start Premium with a 7-day free trial (adds a second hairstyle recommendation) or choose "Pay now, skip trial" to unlock everything immediately at the same price. Side profile analysis, the complete hairstyle guide, and the full 90-day exercise plan unlock once your subscription moves past the trial into its paid period — or right away if you chose "Pay now, skip trial." Either way the price is the same: $10.00/month or $30.00/year, prices may vary by country. In the Android app, subscriptions are purchased and processed entirely by Google Play Billing. On our website (in a web browser such as Safari or Chrome), purchases are processed by our reseller Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record: Paddle collects the details needed to complete your order (such as your email address, country and payment details) under its own privacy policy. Either way, the app never sees or stores your payment card details — those are handled directly by Google or Paddle. The app only receives confirmation of whether you have an active subscription and, locally on your device: when that subscription first became active (used only to tell the trial period apart from the paid period), and, only if you chose "Pay now, skip trial," a flag recording that choice so the app doesn't wait out a trial period that doesn't apply to you. The app loads scripts from their official sources: MediaPipe Face Mesh (Google's open-source facial landmark library), Google Identity Services (for sign-in), Google Play Billing (for Premium subscriptions in the Android app), and Paddle (for Premium purchases on our website). These providers may see standard technical request data (such as your IP address) as an ordinary function of loading a script or processing a payment, governed by their own privacy policies.
The app does not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or third-party cookies, and does not sell or share personal data with anyone.
You can use the app without signing in at all via "Continue as Guest." You can clear your stored sign-in at any time using the "switch" option in the app, or by clearing your browser's site data for this page — this also removes any locally stored gender, date of birth, and exercise progress. You can manage or cancel your Premium subscription anytime from your Google Play account (Android app purchases) or from the link in your Paddle receipt email or at paddle.net (website purchases).
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
